ACCREDITATION

ABOUT OUR STANDARDS

The Christian Preschool Association provides the Standards, revised in 2023, for Accreditation free online. Early Childhood Programs can review the Standards before committing to the accreditation process. Programs that wish to proceed with accreditation will complete the Application for Standards and Procedures and submit a fee of $150.00. We will verify the program meets the requirements and will then send the program the entire Christian Preschool Association Evaluation and Observation Packet which includes the Self Evaluation Documents and all other forms needed for Accreditation.

Accreditation Standards

Christian Preschool Association Fee Scale

Application Fee – $150
Validation Fee – 1-60, $375
                         61-120, $575
                       121 or more, $700
Administrative Fee – $175
Resubmission Fee- First:$100, Second:$150, $50 each time after
Expedited Fee- $250 to complete within 30-45 days
Self-imposed Deferment – $150
Technical Assistance – Free to accredited schools. Member school: $100, Non-member school: $300
Returned Check Fee – $35
Change of Director – Free if within 90 days; after 90 days $50

Accreditation Process

Christian Preschool Association programs committing to the Accreditation process must devote at least eight months to the self-evaluation process. During this time programs will be assembling their Accreditation Documents. Following the eight month self evaluation process, All programs will submit their Accreditation Documents:

  1. Sections A, B, & C (see the video below)
  2. Section D will remain at the center for the UMAP Gold Seal validator
  3. Application for Accreditation Visit and Validation Fee.

Once complete, The Christian Preschool Association will schedule a validator to visit the program.

Helpful Hints to Accreditation

Change of Directorship

When your school has a change of directorship, please submit this form within 90 days to maintain your accreditation status. Late forms will be charged a $50 fee.
